Primetime EMMY Nomination: LOST TV Show Mockumentary

Mysteries of the Universe: The Dharma Initiative, is a five-episode mockumentary miniseries produced by ABC as part of the Lost TV show and it’s associated digital companion experiences. I led art direction and post for this project. Styled as a 1980s investigative show, it presents in-universe "evidence" about the fictional DHARMA Initiative research organization.

Motion as a System

As a systems thinker, I designed a modular, templated motion graphics system used for broadcast television, built to support and speak to the full inventory of digital content across all of our TV shows airing on ABC. The structure streamlines the production of new spots across different IPs while maintaining consistency across both on-air and digital experiences. As the lead product designer for the website that housed and aired this content, I ensured alignment between broadcast and digital platforms, creating a cohesive visual language across touchpoints.

The system is built for accessibility and flexibility, allowing other designers to quickly open projects, swap in new assets, and adjust key elements without rebuilding animations from scratch. By standardizing layouts, controls, and render settings, it significantly reduces turnaround time while maintaining a high level of visual quality. This approach enables rapid iteration and efficient scaling, making it easy to produce polished motion graphics tailored to entirely new creative content.

Animating Intent: Gaze-Based Unlock for Immersive Wearables

One of the core challenges with wearables in VR/MR is activation—making sure it only happens when the user truly intends it. In immersive environments, where gameplay, social interaction, and passive experiences overlap, accidental triggers can quickly break the flow.

This interaction explores gaze-based gating as a way to signal intent. By requiring a sustained look to unlock, the system creates a deliberate moment between attention and action. The animation communicates this buildup—holding focus, confirming intent, and then transitioning into an unlocked state.

Interaction and Motion as a Bridge Between Story and Commerce

We used motion as a functional tool to make the “rabbit hole” model intuitive and cohesive. The challenge was helping users move between characters, storylines, and commerce without losing context or breaking immersion. Through responsive transitions—where elements expand, morph, and connect based on user input—we preserved a clear sense of continuity across layers. Products surfaced naturally within these flows rather than interrupting them, reinforcing their connection to the narrative. This use of motion clarified navigation, guided exploration, and unified storytelling with shopping into a seamless experience.

Motion That Moves the Line—
Universal Studios Florida

With over 10 million visitors annually, Universal Studios presents a unique opportunity to design for massive, diverse audiences in highly immersive environments. I led a project for Universal Studios where I assembled and directed a multidisciplinary team of animators, illustrators, designers, and sound designers to produce over 80 experiential motion graphic spots. Each piece was crafted to reflect a distinct musical genre, from classic rock and metal to hip-hop, disco, pop, and funk, matching the energy and personalization of a newly launched roller coaster that allowed riders to choose their soundtrack. These dynamic visuals were designed to entertain and engage guests while in the queue, while also reinforcing retail products featured as they exited through the gift shop.

A Year in Motion: Craft, Collaboration, Impact

This was a fun end-of-year sizzle reel that captures the energy, creativity, and impact of the incredible work our internal design team delivered over the past year. It was a sneak peek look into some of our early Metaverse work highlighting standout moments from our product design org. It showcased the innovation, craftsmanship, and collaboration that defined our projects.

This was a celebratory piece created for the entire company, bringing our accomplishments together into one engaging story.

Angel’s Caring Eyes 501(c)(3)

This client was a non-profit community boxing program serving at-risk and inner-city youth, using the sport as a structured outlet to build discipline, focus, and provide a positive alternative to street involvement. The identity concept centers on the pivotal moment before stepping into the ring—a threshold where transformation begins.

Amazon Homepage Takeover

While at Amazon, I led the design, animation, and client pitching for a high-visibility partnership with Universal Pictures around their new IP, Sing. The work culminated in a full homepage takeover of Amazon.com, that brought the film’s energy to life through dynamic motion and immersive storytelling. In addition to the homepage experience, I was responsible for the broader digital product design ecosystem, including custom e-commerce storefronts, interactive tablet wake screens, and tailored advertising experiences, ensuring a consistent and engaging brand journey across multiple touchpoints.

Alternative Brand Package

Led brand and motion design on a handful of alternative lifestyle brand video spots focusing on select retail businesses across the US. This was the opening slate for those episodes.

Personal Identity

Exploratory work for a new personal identity. Because my surname Kujda, is often difficult for people to pronounce, I developed a visual system based on a closely aligned phonetic spelling to make it more intuitive and accessible.

Reflections in Form

A brand identity package for a large real estate firm in the Southeast. Their property (condominiums) featured extensive water elements and fountains, which informed the design direction. The logo uses negative space to reflect and echo the surrounding landscape, capturing the fluid integration of water throughout the site. The negative space around the identity becomes the property.

I don’t focus heavily on identity work anymore, but this remains one of my favorite projects to date due to its simplicity.
